Mr. Darrell Dewayne "Durbo" Nelson, age 57, passed away Thursday, November 17, 2016. He was born July 31, 1959 in Baker, Florida to JC and Fannie Bishop Nelson.

Mr.  Nelson was a lifelong resident of Walton County. He worked as a carpenter in construction for many years. He was very inventive and a talented mechanic. He enjoyed fishing, especially floundering, and was an avid outdoorsman. He was a mentor to the children in his community, sharing with them his skills and knowledge.

Mr. Nelson is preceded in death by his parents, sister Kathy Rhodes and two brothers Earl and Greg Nelson.

Mr. Nelson is survived by his loving wife of 32 years Pat Nelson; three sons Dewayne Jordan and wife Lori , Anthony Jordan and Caleb Nelson; three daughters Michelle Jordan, Angel Jordan and Skyla Jordan; sister Carol Donaldson all of DeFuniak Springs; 15 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren, also survived by special brother-in-law John Peacock and wife Zelda.

Celebration of life services will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, November 21, 2016 at the family residence; 1286 Senterfitt Road, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.

In lieu of flowers family request donations be made to offset expenses.
