Zeddie Mae
Courtney Mcintosh
May 19, 1927 – March 17, 2022
Zeddie Mae Courtney McIntosh, age 94, slipped into the arms of her heavenly Father on Thursday, March 17, 2022.
Zeddie was born in Walton County on May 19, 1927 to Jason and Elizabeth Courtney. She was a lifelong resident of Walton County. Her greatest love was sharing her faith and love of Jesus Christ with others. She was a member of First Baptist Church of DeFuniak Springs. She and her late husband spent many years working with Campers on Mission with the Florida Baptist Convention. They went all over the country working at fairs, disasters, and camps sharing their love of the Lord. Zeddie was an active prayer warrior for Baptist missionaries all over the world for as long as she was able. She spent hours sending and answering email from missionaries and reaching out to others for prayer and help for them. She not only had them in her home at times but traveled to see missionaries going as far as Spain. She loved her family and was proud of all her grandchildren. She cherished every visit with them and always held them close to her heart. She loved to garden when she was able, reading, and crocheting gifts for others.
Zeddie was preceded in death by her parents and husband of 55 years George Raymond McIntosh. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Simmons and three sons, Daniel McIntosh, David McIntosh, and Joseph McIntosh; two brothers Bob (Helga) and John Courtney; and one sister, Katherine (Bill) Fulgham.
