Obituary

Yolinda Martin Foy, age 62, gained her angel wings May 15, 2024 surrounded by her family and close friends. She was born on December 26, 1961 in DeFuniak Springs, Florida to Samuel D. Martin and Maggie Lou Bell Martin.

Mrs. Foy was a resident of Crestview, Florida moving from DeFuniak Springs, Florida. She was Christian by faith and put Christ first in all of her endeavors. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. During her marriage, she and Joseph traveled to Germany, France, and Spain together. They also resided in Louisiana, California, and Texas, finally settling down in Florida. This year she celebrated 43 years of marriage with Joseph. She was a homemaker who was the glue that held her family together. Her greatest joy was being a wife to her best friend and the love of her life Joseph and being an loving and incredible mother to her two daughters; Kathleen and Kathryn. One of her greatest accomplishments was raising two well-educated and successful daughters. She was an avid dog lover with having many treasured pets in her lifetime. She had an unbreakable relationship with her brother and sister, as they were each other's biggest support system. She had quite the green thumb with the ability to grow all kinds of flowers and even a vegetable garden. She was an amazing cook who cooked delicious meals from scratch every day. She enjoyed bargain hunting, crafting, painting, reading, and working jig-saw puzzles. She was an avid collector of Christmas ornaments. Christmas was her favorite holiday.

Her most profound qualities were that she put the needs of others before hers, always. She had the most loving and giving heart. She always persevered through any challenge that came her way. She will be remembered by her faith and determination.

Mrs. Foy is preceded in death by her father, mother, and brother, John Martin.
