Obituary

Mr. William Miller, 79, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2026. He was born on September 18, 1946 in Newark, New Jersey to William A. and Veronica Miller.

Mr. Miller was a resident of DeFuniak Springs, Florida. He was a veteran of the Vietnam Era serving his country in the United States Army with over 23 years of service before retiring as a Sergent Major. Having received the following awards, National Defense Service Medal/ Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal/Army Commendation Medal with 1 Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster and "V" Device/Master Parachutist Badge/ 2 Oversea Service Bars/ Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal/Meritorious Service Medal with 2 Bronze Oak Leaf Sergeant Major Academy Award.  He also worked as a Law Enforcement Officer for over 20 years, having worked as a Detective. He enjoyed fishing, cooking and spending time with his family.

Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his mother and father, five siblings and his daughter Angela Miller.

Mr. Miller is survived by his wife of 51 years, Carolyn Miller, daughters: Stacie N. Gendereaux (Duane Gendereaux), Amy Harris ( William Harris) and son W.A. Miller: two sisters and one brother from New Jersey; one sister-in-law and brother-in-law from Georgia and many nieces and nephews.

A time of visitation will be held 10:00-11:00 AM, Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will be held at Magnolia Cemetery with Military Honors by the United States Army.
