Mrs. Willa Rose Merriott, age 74, passed away Sunday, July 25, 2021. She was born October 23, 1946 in Springfield, Missouri to Bill and Anna Hamilton McGimpsey.

Mrs. Merriott was a resident of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. She was Baptist by faith.  She grew up on the Grand River in Langley, Oklahoma. She was a devoted mother, and grandmother. She received her bachelor's degree in Business at Phillips University in Oklahoma. She owned and operated Willa Merriott Realty for 40 years in Destin, Florida. She enjoyed working and providing vacation rentals for many families over the years. She loved growing roses, and gardening and playing Scrabble.

Mrs. Merriott is preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Anna Hamilton McGimpsey; brothers, Marty McGimpsey and Will McGimpsey and sisters, Carol McGimpsey and Lois Brown.

Mrs. Merriott is survived by her daughter, Angela Merriott and fiancé Kevin Butz of Santa Rosa  Beach, Florida; son, Scott Merriott and wife Michele of Santa Rosa beach, Florida; four grandchildren, Danielle Sutton, Alyssa Sutton, Logan Merriott and Kaitlyn Merriott.
