Walter Clayton McCormick

Clayton was born in DeFuniak Springs, FL on Oct 31, 1943 to William and Edna McCormick. He grew up in the small community of Darlington, FL with his parents and eight brothers and sisters. He later moved to Miami where he worked in construction most of his life in the plastering and drywall business. He returned to Darlington to live in the late 1970's to get back to the country life. He is preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Mary Sue (Honey), Minnie Sue, and Edna Ruth, and by his brother James (Gopher). Clayton is survived by his siblings: Dolly, Willard, Sandy, and Dion McCormick. Also by his children: Johnny, Jeanine, Clint, Chantel, and Steven. Grandchildren: John Clayton, Austin, Tyler, Brandon, Mason, Caleb, Capri, Liam, and Josh. Great grandchildren: Bryler and Jaxon, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Clayton enjoyed working in the yard, repairing his vehicles, and telling stories about the good old days. He will be deeply missed by those who loved him, but he is finally healed and at peace in heaven with Jesus and those family members gone on before him.
