Ms. Virginia Bernice Lewis, age 76, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2023. She was born on March 31, 1947 in Clearwater, Florida to John Stacy and Myrtle Virginia Warnock Harrington.

Ms. Lewis was a longtime resident of DeFuniak Springs, Florida. She was Baptist by faith and was a member of Baldwin Avenue Baptist Church. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She graduated from Ponce de Leon High School in 1965 as the Salutatorian, then attended Chipola Junior College on an Art Scholarship. She worked as a clerk with the Postal Service for many years before retiring. She enjoyed growing flowers, gospel music, and traveling with friends. She also enjoyed crocheting.

Ms. Lewis was preceded in death by her father and mother; one son Ryian Lewis; and one brother Michael J. Harrington.

Ms. Lewis is survived by her two children Thad Lewis and wife Tonya of Ponce de Leon, Florida, Jeremy Lewis and wife Genny of Ponce de Leon, Florida; three grandchildren Makayla Bohannon and husband Jerry, Dillon Lewis, Joshua Lewis; three great-grandchildren Sylar, Tucker, Austin; and one brother John B. Harrington of Ponce de Leon, Florida.

A time of visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Shane McGowan and Reverend Wilbur Williams officiating; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.

Flowers are being accepted.

Burial will follow in Hudson Hill Cemetery on Tower Lane in Prosperity, Florida.
