Victor “Vic” Daniel
Goldbach
November 22, 1931 – April 14, 2026
Vic was originally from Pensacola and lived there until December of 2022, when he moved to The Blake at Miramar Beach to be with his wife. He loved bright colors, fishing, cooking and sharing his many stories for anyone who listened. He flourished at The Blake, was a founding member of the Bourbon Club (even though he wasn’t really a drinker), was the first to recommend new outings to go on, and was even crowned Prom King in 2023. He always said going to the Blake was like returning to high school and he loved it.
We are so thankful to the staff at The Blake for their amazing care. While he was always the critic, he developed special relationships with Stacy and Regis in dining as well as many of his servers. His nursing staff of Amy, Norma, Tameica, Heather, Riley, Megan and I’m sure more all did everything to not only keep me informed but to make sure he was as comfortable as possible. Finally, the amazing PAs who took care of his personal needs daily and went out of their way to help mom visit him as well. We seriously can’t express enough gratitude to these individuals who truly loved him and still continue to love on my mom.
While Vic always felt he did not deserve veteran benefits because he was only on a ‘ship’ and not in combat, he served his country with pride, not only in the Navy but as a civilian representing the United States in Kuwait, Lebanon, and Iraq.
Vic is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary Goldbach; Vic had 5 children, 3 from a previous marriage Vicki (Robert), Mike (Janet), and David along with their children and grandchildren. From his loving marriage of 61 years with Mary, he is survived by Vanessa Bump and her husband Dan and Philip Goldbach (Russ) and his loving partner Rachelle Hansen, 6 grandchildren Jared Bump and his partner Kelly Martin, Allysa Rogers and her husband Jared, Karson Goldbach and Camden Goldbach, and 5 great-grandchildren (Blake, Payton, Bentley, Hunter, Braden and soon to be born, Harper)
