Obituary

Mrs. Vera Maxine Turner, age 79, passed away August 27, 2024.  She was born on December 11, 1944 in DeFuniak Springs, Florida to Ode'l Poole and Gracie Richardson Poole.

Mrs. Turner was a lifelong resident of Mossy Head, Florida She was Baptist by faith and a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She worked as a seamstress for many years, having worked for Vanity Fair. She worked as an Interior Decorator and as a Floral Designer for many years. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She was very dedicated to attending her grandchildren's sporting events. She also enjoyed canning vegetables and making jelly. She thoroughly enjoyed quilting.

Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by her mother and father; Husband, Billy Frank Turner of 40 years; brother, John Wayne Poole and a son-in-law, Ronnie Murphy.

Mrs. Turner is survived by children, Billy Todd Turner and wife Teresa of Beauregard, Alabama, Tawee Hardy and husband Robert of Lowndesboro, Alabama, Tonya Edgar and husband Tim of Pensacola, Florida and Tiffany Murphy of DeFuniak Springs, Florida.; brother, Steve Poole and wife Darla of Midland, Texas and sister, Pat Hollingsworth of Vestavia Hills, Alabama. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, RaeLee Turner, Jonathon Hardy and wife Brittany, Stacee Turner, Loren Hardy, Stephen Murphy, Christopher Murphy, Blake Edgar and wife Emily, Abigail Young and husband Corey, Logan Turner, and Bradley Edgar and 7 great grandchildren Kyler, Holland, Addison, Mila, Tripp, Lucy and Clara.

A time of visitation will be held from 10: 00 - 11:00 AM, August 30,2024 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, August 30,2024 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel; with Reverend Joel Glenn officiating.

Flowers are being accepted or donations may be made to Emerald Coast Hospice at https://vitascommunityconnection.org/

Pallbearers will be Jonathon Hardy, Stephen Murphy, Christopher Murphy, Blake Edgar, Logan Turner and Bradley Edgar.

Burial will be held at Crowder Chapel Cemetery.
