Tommy L. Rowland, 73 passed away on May 17, 2024.  He was born on June 10, 1950 in Ripley, Mississippi to parents Paul and Billie Rowland.  He graduated from Ripley High School and earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Mississippi.  He began his successful accounting career in Memphis, TN in 1972.  He retired from his well known and respected firm, Rowland &Carter CPAs in 2016.  He moved to Miramar Beach, FL to be near some of his grandchildren a great place for the other ones to visit.  His pride was his children and grandchildren that he loved to spoil!
Tommy was an avid golfer and had many good memories of his golfing friends.  He was very generous, contributing to many charities out of love. He had a servant's heart using his accounting abilities to do volunteer work for two different churches.  He was always ready and willing to help a friend.
He is survived by his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 54 years, Freida Windham Rowland.  His children, Todd Rowland
(Ashley) Angy Fletcher (William) and seven wonderful grandchildren.  Cole(Lexie), Ciera, Cade, Cayson, Carly(Jackson), Cady, and Courtney.  One brother Gaylon Rowland (Robin) and one sister, Lou Ann Barkley (Johnny).
A Memorial Service will be held at Bellevue Baptist Church Chapel on May 29. Visitation 12:30-2 p.m. Service to follow at 2.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to missions at Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis, TN or Destiny Worship Center in Miramar Beach, FL
