Mr. Walden, age 71, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2024. He was born May 1, 1952 in Florala, Alabama to Ernest W. Walden and Katie Rowe Walden.

Mr. Walden was a resident of  Laurel Hill, Florida. He was a devoted husband and father. He worked as a school teacher for 38 years, having taught high school and middle school mathematics in Walton and Orange County, Florida. He was a leader in Walton County Teacher's Union throughout the 1980's and 1990's, and he was a candidate for the Superintendent of Schools in Walton County, Florida in 1992. He was a very talented handyman and built the home in which he lived in for 40 years. He was also a fan of technology.

Mr. Walden was preceded in death by his father and mother; two brothers, Billy Walden and Bobby Walden.

He is survived by his loving wife Jean Walden of 45 years of Laurel Hill, Florida; one daughter, Susie D. Walden and husband Christopher Crenshaw of Tallahassee, Florida; one son, Daniel E. Walden of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; two sisters, Becky Cannon and husband Jim of Freeport, Florida and Debra Hester and husband Tim of Pensacola, Florida; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A time of visitation will be held from 6:00- 8:00 PM, Thursday, February 22, 2024 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, February 23, 2024 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jeremy Walden officiating.

Flowers are being accepted.

Burial will be held at Miller Cemetery in Laurel Hill, Florida
