Mrs. Tanya C. Pearson, age 67, passed away February 27, 2025.  She was born on February 2, 1958 in Jacksonville, Florida to Charles William Ross and Pauline Edna (Hunnewell) Ross.

Mrs. Pearson was a resident of DeFuniak Springs, Florida. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her granddaughters. She enjoyed embroidering and being outdoors, finding and collecting rocks. She had a special nickname "Crazy Cat Lady" because she loved cats. She also loved telling her old roofing stories.

Mrs. Pearson was preceded in death by her parents, Charles William Ross and Pauline Edna (Hunnewell) Ross, one brother, James William Ross and one sister, Lorinda Icenogle.

Mrs. Pearson is survived by her loving husband, Gary Pearson; two daughters, Anita Reliford (Leroy Medina) and Leah Nystel (Robert Tlaskal); granddaughters, Alexis Reliford, Amaya Reliford and Alyssa Reliford; sister, Deanna Daniel and brothers, Lon Ross (Cris Ross), "Pat" Charles Ross (Jennie Ross) and Charles Ross (Autumn Ross).

Graveside Services will be held at 1:30 PM, Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at Barrancas National Cemetery with Military Honors by the United States Navy.
