Mr. Stephen Paul Martin, age 68, passed away on April 28, 2026. He was born on March 30, 1958, in Tachikawa, Japan to Bobby Gene Martin and Velma Dale Simmons Martin.

Mr. Martin was a resident of Freeport, Florida and was a veteran of the Armed Forces, serving his country in the United States Army. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He worked in construction and as an offshore oil rigger for many years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, and he was a very talented wood carver.

Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his parents, Bobby Gene Martin and Velma Dale Simmons Martin.

Mr. Martin is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Mary Jo Martin; his four children, Kristi Martin, Stephen Stanley (Tehra), Marissa Martin, and Maleigha Martin; his four grandchildren, Aidden Cosson, Auroura Howell, Ziva Stanley, and Wyatt Stanley; and his sister, Talitha Flowers.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at Clary-Glenn Freeport Chapel Funeral Home; 150 East Highway 20, Freeport, Florida, 32439 with Reverend Joel Glenn officiating and military honors by the United States Army.

Flowers are being accepted.

Burial will be held at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, Florida
