Scott Whiting
Clary
October 14, 1958 – May 14, 2023
Mr. Scott Whiting Clary, age 64, passed away May 14, 2023. He was born on October 14, 1958 in DeFuniak Springs, Florida to Randolph E. Clary and Vivian W. Clary.
Scott was an avid bottle collector, local postcard collector, and a racing fan like no other! Having been born and raised here, Scott took pride in our little town. He enjoyed volunteering at our museum and sharing his knowledge of history and collectibles. Scott worked offshore, built houses, and later began driving for Tri-County, which was his greatest joy. The clients became friends and family to Scott and he would often check up on them. He cared for every person deeply. Scott enjoyed raising exotic birds, including African Greys, Macaws, ostriches. He was very involved in helping with the family business, "Clary Funeral Home."
Mr. Clary was preceded in death by his parents and nephew, Michael G. Boland
Mr. Clary is survived by his wife of 18 years, Wendy Hoover Clary. Although Scott had no children of his own, he was a step-up father to Jade Tucker and her husband RJ and Holly Allen. Scott also leaves behind his grandchildren, whom he loved; Lane Tucker (Logan), Boden Tucker, Jasper Parrilli, Makatie Richards, Zachary Richards and great granddaughter, Ivy Tucker. Every one probably has a good Scott story to tell, but the best ones would come from his siblings: Lowell Clary (Sandy), Valerie Clary Boland, and Andrea Infinger. He also leaves behind his lifelong friend Mike Cosson. Scott is also leaving behind many nieces and nephews; Brian, Erin, Sam, Lucas, Cara, Shannon, Amelia, and David
Receiving of Friends will be held from 3:00– 4:00 PM, Saturday, May 20, 2023 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida, 32435.
