Ms. Sarah Phyllis Raley Griggs, age 83, passed away November 16, 2024.  She was born on July 12, 1941 in DeFuniak Springs, Florida to JoeSire "Josiah" Raley and Gussie Barley Raley.

Ms. Griggs was a resident of DeFuniak Springs, Florida. She was Baptist by faith and a charter member of First Baptist Church of Liberty. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She attended Pensacola Junior College, receiving her degree as a Cosmetologist. She worked in retail in local DeFuniak Springs Department Stores. She enjoyed cooking for her family, gardening and growing flowers. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Ms. Griggs was preceded in death by parents; brother, Leon Raley; sister, Jennell Griffin and two great grandchildren, Josiah and Jenisis.

Ms. Griggs is survived by her children, Cathy Adams (Michael) of Center hill, Florida, Steve Griffith (Marie) of Pensacola, Florida and Phillip Griffith (Katie) of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; grandchildren, Dewayne Adams (Misty), Curtis Adams, Raley Adams, Sarah Griffith, Blakely Anderson (Greg), Tyler Jarret and Cole  (Cheyenne) and great grandchildren, Montana, Kinzlie, Annesley Jaxon, Harper, Grayson, Finley, Parker and Gabi.

Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, November 22, 2024 at Cluster Springs Baptist Church 1333 County Highway 1084, DeFuniak Springs, FL 32433; with Reverend Joel Glenn officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donation be made to First Baptist Church of Liberty at 6775 US Hwy 331 North, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32433.
