Ms. Sandra L. Powell, age77, passed away October 31, 2024.  She was born on March 12, 1947 in Greenville, South Carolina to Ernest Carroll and Mary Louise Tibbs Carroll.

Ms. Powell was a resident of DeFuniak Springs, Florida. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed cooking for her family. She also enjoyed fishing, growing flowers and taking care of her animals.

Ms. Powell was preceded in death by her parents Ernest Carroll and Mary Louise Tibbs Carroll; her husband, Frederick A. Powell, Jr. and her brother, Robert Carroll.

Ms. Powell is survived by her children, Charles Evett and Ernest Evett (Nina); grandchildren, Michael Evett, Christopher Evett, Sheila Jones, Caleb Evett (Marisa), Kiera Evett, Cleveland Evett and Caitlin Himes (Tucker); numerous great grandchildren and one sister, Gladys Carroll.

Memorialization will be by cremation.

Burial will be held at Barrancas National Cemetery at a later date.
