Mr. Russell F Mead, age 85, passed away January 20, 2024.  He was born on April 1, 1938 in Sprakers, New York to Fraiser Mead Sr. and Rita Waltz Mead.

Mr. Mead was a resident of DeFuniak Springs, Florida. He was a devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather. He worked as a Machine Adjuster for Kraft Heinz Foods in the Bakery and Conficonary Union, for 42 years before retiring. He enjoyed rebuilding tractor, cars and motorcycles. He also enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycles.

Mr. Mead was preceded in death by his father and mother, one brother Gerald Mead and one son Jason Mead.

Mr. Mead is survived by four children, Terry VanGarder and husband Bryan, Russell Mead, Jr., Glorie Mead and Elena Young and husband John; two brothers, Donal Mead and wife Jackie and Frasier Mead, Jr; one sister, Betty Rush. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 3:00 PM, Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel.
