Mrs. Ruby Delores Garrett, age 75, passed away Sunday, October 30, 2022.  She was born September 1, 1947, in Pearl, Mississippi to Louis and Virgie Manning Rodarte.

Mrs. Garrett was a resident of Freeport, Florida for the past 50 years. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She worked as a secretary and office manager for her family business Garrett Contracting. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, and working cross word puzzles and jig saw puzzles.

Mrs. Garrett is preceded in death by her mother and father, one son, Wade Scott Hankins and one sister, Vivian Shurden.

Mrs. Garrett is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Dennis Garrett of Freeport, Florida; three children, James Olin Benton of Freeport, Florida, Samuel Garrett and wife Renata of North Carolina and Dennis Lucas Garrett and Teresa Lowe of Freeport, Florida; one grandchild, Gavin Garrett and one sister, Loreta Shaw of Long Beach, California.

A time of Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Friday, November 4, 2022 at Clary-Gleen Freeport Chapel Funeral Home; 150 East Highway 20, Freeport, Florida 32439.

Graveside Service will be held 3:00 PM, Saturday, November 5, 2022 at Hatcher Cemetery, with Reverend Richard Murray, Sr. officiating.

Burial will be held at Hatcher Cemetery.
