In Loving Memory of Rosanna Elizabeth Joedeman

On November 10, 2023, Rosanna Elizabeth Joedeman peacefully ascended to be with the Lord, her heavenly father, at North Okaloosa Medical Center in Crestview, FL. Her departure was swift and unexpected, the result of a sudden heart attack, occurring just one day after she laid her beloved mother to rest—adding another layer of profound sorrow as her mother had passed just five days prior. Rosanna now reunites with her parents, Lavern and Lester Skipper, and her daughter Rebekah Ruth Joedeman, in their eternal heavenly home.

Born in Houston, Texas, on April 8, 1963, Rosanna, known affectionately as Elizabeth, was a precious gift adopted by Thomas Lester Skipper. Throughout her 60 years of life, she dedicated herself to family and faith. Her unwavering devotion to her husband of 40 years, David Michael Joedeman, was the cornerstone of a love that withstood the tests of time.

She leaves behind a legacy of love through her children, Joel Nathan Joedeman with his wife Katie, and Sarah Rachel Buhlmann with her husband Matthew. Additionally, she is survived by her five cherished grandchildren: Rebeckah, Melody, and Harmony Joedeman, daughters of Joel Nathan, and Katrina and Benjamin Buhlmann, children of Sarah Rachel.

Elizabeth's life was a tapestry woven with compassion, resilience, and an enduring love for family. Her selfless act of relocating to care for her ailing mother exemplified the depth of her commitment. A fervent believer, she shared the light of her Lord and Savior, aspiring to lead as many souls as possible to Him. When not engaged in the Lord's work, Elizabeth found joy in simple pleasures—watching movies, culinary pursuits, and cherished moments with her family.

Her professional journey reflected her versatility and strong work ethic, having excelled as a cook, a teacher, and an accountant. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Elizabeth will be remembered for her infectious laughter that resonated with everyone fortunate enough to hear it. Forever young at heart, she was taken from us prematurely, leaving behind a void that can never be fully filled.

May Elizabeth rest in eternal peace, her spirit watching over us with the same love and grace that defined her remarkable life. Her memory will continue to inspire those who were touched by her warmth, kindness, and unwavering faith.
