Mr. Roger Dale Anderson, age 71, passed away Monday, September 4, 2023. He was born on January 21, 1952 in Hartford, Alabama to Roy Glenn and Wavine Nolin Anderson.
Mr. Anderson was a resident of DeFuniak Springs, Florida. He was Baptist by faith and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. He was a devoted husband, father, PawPaw, brother, as well as an uncle, father-figure, and "Uncle Daddy" to many. He graduated from Walton High School in 1970. He worked with Gulf Power as a serviceman for 36 years before retiring. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming, and spending time with his family. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandson, Judd, who he loved watching Paw Patrol with. He served as President of the Walton County Fair Board for 20 years, where he volunteered many hours.
Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by his father and mother; and niece Emily Anderson.
Mr. Anderson is survived by his loving wife of 25 years Tonya N. Anderson of DeFuniak Springs; one son Jay McDaniel and wife Susie of Lakewood, Florida; one grandson Judd McDaniel; one brother Denny Anderson and Debbie of Birmingham, Alabama; one sister Dianne Farley of DeFuniak Springs; two aunts Kathleen Harrison, Peggy Campbell; as well as several nieces, nephews, and great-nephews.
A time of visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 PM, Friday, September 8, 2023 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church; 5064 County Highway 1883, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32433, with Reverend Kenneth Harrison officiating.
Pallbearers will be Jay McDaniel, Rhett Howard, AJ Young, Corey Anderson, Tommy Cook, and Edsel Ray. Honorary pallbearers will be Cy Chance, Al Fowler, Larry Fountain, Chris Short, and Joel Hughes.

Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
