Robert Lance Stewart passed away peacefully on April 3, 2025, leaving behind a family who loved him and memories that will be cherished forever. Born on August 13, 1958, Lance found joy in life's simple pleasures like fishing on quiet mornings and watching the birds come to the feeders in his yard. He also loved rooting for his favorite teams—the Tampa Bay Rays and Florida State Football.
Lance had a calm, steady presence and a warm sense of humor. He didn't need the spotlight—but he did love to tell a good story and share memories over a hand of cards or a shared meal.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Doralene Stewart, and his sister, Sherry Kelley.
He is survived by his siblings whom he loved greatly– brother Lynn (Claudette) Stewart, and sisters, JoAnn Stewart, Martha Stewart, and Susan Prescott.
Lance is also survived by his children: Lisa (Tracy) Jernigan, Chris (Andrea) McIntosh, and Ronnie (Ashley) Stewart. He was a proud grandpa to Tyler, Hailey, Joseph, George, Eliana, and Philip—and he lit up any time he talked about them. He also leaves behind numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family who will miss him.
Lance didn't need much to be happy—just a good game on the TV, a calm lake, or the sound of birds in the trees. He had a quiet demeanor, a kind heart, a quick wit, and love for his family. And while he's no longer with us, his love, his laugh, and the memories we made with him will stay with us always.

Celebration of Life Services will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 5, 2025 at Mossy Head First Baptist Church; 92 Hinote Road, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32433; with Reverend Bob Bradley officiating.
