Mr. Robert “Spoons” Eugene Sanders, age 69, passed away June 16, 2026. He was born October 28, 1956 in Franklin County, Florida to Clyde K. Sanders and Beulah Mae Atkins Sanders.

Mr. Sanders was a resident of DeFuniak Springs, Florida. He was Christian by faith. He was affectionately known as “Spoons”. He enjoyed playing the spoons musically. He liked going fishing.

Mr. Sanders was preceded in death by his parents Clyde K. Sanders and Beulah Mae Atkins Sanders and brother, Clyde Leon Sanders.

Mr. Sanders is survived by his brother, Phillip Sanders; sisters, Brenda Ward (Dennis), Kathy Shafer, and Susie Newberry (Jon). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at a later date.
