Robert Anthony Rutherford, born March 27, 1961, known best as Tony, died on April 20, 2024, surrounded by his family: his wife of nearly 37 years Sheri, his two daughters Whitney and Hannah, and their dog (his loyal walking companion) Crissy. From a young age, Tony had immense drive to make the most of his life, and, out of that drive, he built a stable, safe, and bright life for himself and his family. He understood the value of hard work, earning two general contractor's licenses. Together with Sheri, he built a career and business in the concrete construction trade spanning from Michigan to home in Florida. Tony placed his faith in his relationship with Jesus, and he had a caring spirit for both people and animals. He enjoyed the great outdoors, sports, mowing grass, tending animals, and caring for the family farm. His mother (Mary Ruth Foreman Myers) and father (George Robert Rutherford) died before him. His chief joy was his family, and they will carry his memory with them forever. Sheri, Whitney, and Hannah express their deep gratitude to the many family, friends, neighbors, and care team who supported and encouraged him throughout his life and walked closely alongside him to the end. There will be no public services. The family will hold a private celebration of life at a later date.
