Bobby was called home  to be with his Lord on May 9, 2022. He was born in Macon, Georgia to Richard William Respess and Clara Garrett Respess. He grew up in the heart of Atlanta near the Georgia Tech campus and attended Northside Highschool. For college he began at Truett McConnell College and transferred to Mercer University where he received a degree in pharmacy. He and his first wife, Kathryn Respess, raised their two daughters in Dunwoody, Georgia where he worked as a pharmacist. Later, he began his own compounding pharmacy, Allied Pharmacy, and moved to Lake Lanier with his wife, Irene Respess.  After a few years, they fell in love with Sandestin and decided to move to the beach full time. Bobby loved singing and playing the guitar, especially at church.  Other favorites were both watching and playing tennis and golf, He loved the water and spent a lot of time boating, scuba diving, and being in the pool.  He loved a good meal with family and friends.  He was a loyal Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta Braves fan.  He was often called on to pray for people who were close friends but also for complete strangers.  He always ended his prayers with, "in the sweet name of the Lord Jesus. AMEN" . He had an energetic personality and a contagious smile and laugh that put people at ease.  He was affectionately known as "Fun Bobby".

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Clara Respess, brothers;  Richard W. Respess, Jr., Richard Respess and William Respess

Bobby was survived by his wife Irene G. Respess. Married to Kathryn Proctor Respess of Atlanta for 32 years, daughter Stephanie Respess White and her husband John Walter White of Alpharetta, Georgia. Their children Chloe Runco (Tony Runco), Macy White, Chapel McCranie (Austin McCranie), and Kovie White.  Daughter Andrea Respess Blount married to John Robert Blount of Alpharetta, Georgia. Their children Mallory Blount, Whitney Fiedler (Andrew Fiedler), Gracie Blount (Austin Krucke fiancé), Shay Blount, and Bria Blount. Expecting their first great grandson Schaeffer Fiedler in June.  Step- daughter Christie Bramblett married to Rick Bramblett of Canton, Georgia.  Their children Chad Bramblett, Rebekah Smith (Matthew Smith), Claire Bramblett, Matthew Bramblett, and Benjamin Bramblett. Also survived by siblings Marsha R. Arneau  of Marietta and Harry L. Respess (Heidi Respess)  of Winston Salem. Sister in law Sandy Respess of Winston Salem.  Sister in law Julia Pendergast of Canton.

A time of visitation will be 3:30 – 4:00  PM, Friday, May 13, 2022 at the chapel at Destiny Worship Center at 122 Poinciana BLVD, Miramar Beach, Florida 32550. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 PM, Friday, May 13, 2022 at the chapel of Destiny Worship Center with Pastor  Steve Vaggalis officiating. In lieu of flowers donations to Destiny Worship Center Freedom Scholarships.
