Reverend Geary Martin Rowell, age 80, passed away Saturday, February 5, 2022. He was born April 4, 1941 in Laurel, Mississippi to Plummer and Tula Carmichael Rowell.

Mr. Rowell was a resident of DeFuniak Springs, Florida. He was Methodist by faith and a member of the Center Ridge United Methodist Church, where he served as Pastor for four years. He graduated from Huntington College, receiving his Bachelor's Degree in Theology, and he also graduated from Emory University receiving is Masters of Divinity Degree. He served as a Methodist Pastor for several different churches over the last 58 years. He also served as an Executive for the Boy Scouts of America. He was a Licensed Real Estate Agent, where he served as President of the Board of Realters and was also Realtor of the Year. He was a Co-Owner of a Tour Bus Company "Sugar Sands Tours."

Mr. Rowell was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Kenneth Wayne Rowell.

Mr. Rowell is survived by his children, Sharon Cochran and husband Kevin of DeFuniak Springs, Florida and Marty Rowell and wife Brooke of Opelika, Alabama; sisters, Judith Rowell Lyon of Tennessee and Margaret Rowell Kilgore and husband William of Chickasaw, Alabama; five grandchildren, Justin Cochran, Sarah Cochran, Jordan Rowell, Coley Rowell and Jackson Rowell, also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

A time of visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 AM, Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Tim Kilgore officiating and Eulogy by Michael Rowell.
