Mrs. Rebecca (Becky) Hawsey Jehle, age 79, passed away May 17, 2022.  She was born on September 10, 1942 in Montgomery, Alabama to Wiley Truss Hawsey and Margueritte Gray Webb Hawsey.

Mrs. Jehle was a resident of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida for 22 years. She was Catholic by faith. She had a natural affection for animals and children of all ages. She was known as the heart of Ventana Dunes. Becky graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Auburn University. She was an art instructor at AUM. She taught children's art classes at the Art Factory. She was an interior decorator by trade and enjoyed painting in her home studio to the music of Queen.

Mrs. Jehle was preceded in death by her father, mother and husband of fifty-seven years, Lawrence Thomas Jehle Jr., M.D.

Mrs. Jehle is survived by daughter Kathryn E. Jehle and partner Leslie Vinson of Millbrook, Alabama; son William J. Jehle and wife Jana of Tuscumbia, Alabama; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

A time of visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 AM, Monday, May 23, 2022 at Clary-Glenn Freeport Chapel Funeral Home; 150 East Highway 20, Freeport, Florida 32439.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, May 23, 2022 at Clary-Glenn Freeport Chapel Funeral Home with Karla Daniel officiating.

Flowers are being accepted.

Burial will be held at Historic Gulf Cemetery.
