Phillip Edward McBroom, 68, of Blakely, Georgia, passed away at Early Memorial Nursing Home on Saturday, October 1, 2022, after a lengthy illness. Phillip was born on July 7, 1954, to J.W. "Bud" and Myrna Hayes McBroom in DeFuniak Springs, Florida. After graduating from Walton High School in 1972, he spent his career working with Three Notch Electric as a lineman. Phillip was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Phillip was proceeded in death by his parents, J.W. "Bud" and Myrna Hayes McBroom.

He is survived by his brother, Danny (Jana) McBroom of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; children Michelle McBroom of Blakely, Georgia, and Jay (Kinsey) McBroom of Lumpkin, Georgia; grandchildren Rylan Foster, Alexander Pickle, Kathryn Pickle, and Adeline McBroom.

A time of visitation will be held from 9:00 – 10:00 AM, Thursday October 6, 2022, at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.

Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, October 6, 2022, at Glendale Presbyterian Church Cemetery, with Reverend Joel Glenn officiating.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Hayes, Jeremy Tankersley, Bart McBroom, Jonathan Reed, Brian McBroom, Brent McBroom and Benji Holley.
