Mr. Patrick Thomas Newsome, age 55, passed away February 1, 2026. He was born on November 4, 1970 in Lake City, Florida to Thomas Eugene Newsome and Janice Yvonne Proveaux.

Mr. Newsome was a resident of DeFuniak Springs, Florida for the past 26 years having moved from Tallahassee, Florida. He worked in Preventative Maintenance at Florida State University. He enjoyed spending time with his family.

Mr. Newsome was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Eugene Newsome.

Mr. Newsome is survived by his wife, LaCosta Newsome; his parents George and Janice Brumby; brother, Ryan Newsome (Tracy); sister, Ashley Baum (Carl); sons, Daniel Newsome (Miranda), Tyler Newsome (Saleena) and Jackson Newsome; stepsons, Jake Carr (Jennifer) and Brandon Carr; 8 grandchildren Idalyn, Isla, Indee, Adelean, Ezra, Bennett, Jase and Alana. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends who all loved him.
