Mrs. Patricia Barnard, age 83, of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida passed away June 13, 2008. She was born November 1, 1924 in Glendale, California to George and Alice Foster Ross. Mrs. Barnard had been a resident of Santa Rosa Beach. She was Catholic by faith and a member of the St. Rita Catholic Church. She received her Nursing Degree from Los Angeles County General Hospital in Los Angeles, California. She worked as a Registered Nurse, and was very committed to her husband during their travels while he was in the United States Air Force, having moved 43 times in 23 years. She enjoyed needlework and writing icons. Mrs. Barnard was preceded in death by her parents. Mrs. Barnard is survived by her husband of 63 years Ralph Barnard of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, two sons Steven Price Barnard and wife Diane of Auburn, Alabama and Craig Emerson Barnard of Destin, Florida, one daughter Kathleen Ann Barnard of Mobile, Alabama, two grandchildren Sarah and William Barnard. Visitation services will be conducted at 6:00~ 7:00 PM, Monday, June 16, 2008 at St. Rita Catholic Church; 137 Moll Drive, Santa Rosa Beach, Florida 32459. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, June 17 , 2008 at St. Rita Catholic Church, with Father Tom Collins officiating. Floral arrangements are being accepted. Burial will follow in the Gulf Cemetery.
