Mr. Olin Talley, age 85, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2011. He was born January 5, 1926 in Vulcan, Missouri to Edward and Alice Stevens Talley. Mr. Talley had been a resident of DeFuniak Springs for the past 20 years. He was Baptist by faith and a member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving his country in WWII. He was also an ordained minister and a devoted Christian. Mr. Talley is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Juanita Freeman Talley of 53 years and 3 brothers Guy, Omer and Jake Talley and 6 sisters Stell Sutton, Rell Smith, Edith Skaggs, Virgie Williams, Nell Huddleston and Enda Middleton. Mr. Talley is survived by his loving wife Helen Woodall Talley; one daughter Kimberly Roy and husband Roger of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; two step-sons Ronnie Woodall and wife Judy of Lake Butler and Donnie Woodall and wife Sharon of Tallahassee; one step-daughter Linda Penton and husband Lonnie of Milton; two grandsons Cody and Justin Roy; 14 step-grandchildren; 20 step great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. A time of visitation will be held 6:00~8:00 PM, Friday, February 4, 2011 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 5, 2011 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home with Dr. James Johnson and Reverend Owen Smith officiating and Eulogy by Lonnie Penton. Burial will follow in the Gap Pond Cemetery, in the Sunny Hills Community.
