Obituary

Obituary for Mitchill W. Huddleston passed away April 19, 2008. He was born in Boynton, Oklahoma on October 13, 1916. Mr. Huddleston was a veteran of World War II. He served in the 81st Fighter Squadron, 50th Fighter Group, and Ninth Air Force that served in five major battles in Europe, received three presidential citations, supporting General George Patton. He was a native of Miami, Florida. Retired from U.S. Postal Service and moved to Walton County, Florida and moved to Maryville, Tennessee in 1993. Mr. Huddleston was preceded in death by his wife, Sallie B. Huddleston, and son, John M. Huddleston. Mr. Huddleston is survived by his wife Rosa Lee Brannon Huddleston, daughter, Joan Hester and husband Don and grandson, John Hester. He is also survived by extended family and friends. Visitation services will be conducted at 10:00~11:00 AM, Thursday, April 24, 2008 Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 5064 County Highway 1883, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32433. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Thursday, April 24, 2008 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Reverends Kenneth Harrison and Richard Hester officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, with military honors
