Michael
Topp
February 22, 1948 – March 5, 2026
Michael Topp, 78, of Freeport, Florida passed away peacefully Thursday March 5, 2026, at home with his family by his side. He was born February 22, 1948, in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, England, son and only child of Arthur and Ethel Topp.
Mike was a wonderful husband and an incredible father. He began his career as a welder in England. Later, he moved to Scotland, where he built a strong foundation through hard work and dedication. He then moved to the Netherlands, where his career steadily progressed. Recognized for his skills, integrity, and natural leadership, Mike was offered increasing responsibilities within the company. Over the years, he excelled in his roles and ultimately fulfilled his dream of living in the United States, where he became Director of Operations—a position that reflected the respect and trust he had earned throughout his career.
Outside of work, Mike had many interests that filled his life with energy and creativity. He enjoyed playing sports and staying active, and he took great pride in home improvement projects, always finding something to fix, build, or improve around the house. Music was another great passion. He learned to play the drums and, by the age of nine, was already performing as a band member at multiple social venues. Whether practicing, performing, or simply enjoying music with others, it brought him great joy and a deep sense of connection.
Mike loved telling jokes and had a witty sense of humor, although sometimes a step ahead of his audience, he always made sure that everyone could share in the moment.
The mere words on this paper are inadequate to convey Mike's love and passion for his family and friends and his indomitable spirit to live life to the fullest. For those qualities, his family will be forever grateful for the example of the life he lived. The lessons he taught through his life will have an undying influence on those who had the honor and privilege of being his family and friends. He will live forever in the hearts and minds of those that have survived him. His truly was A LIFE WELL LIVED and to be celebrated.
Mike leaves to cherish his memory his wife Christine, his daughter Michelle (Tonny) of Loon op Zand, The Netherlands, his son Andrew (Christina) of Freeport, Florida. He also leaves his grandchildren Caitlin, Cassandra, Twan, Kinley and Caleb.
The family would like to express its deep appreciation to Emerald Coast Hospice for the daily caregiver assistance they provided to Mike in his last few days.
