Obituary

Mary Rescoe, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on January 20, 2025, at the age of 88 in Freeport, FL. Born in Pontiac, Michigan, on March 8, 1936, she lived a life full of love and devotion to her family.

Mary's husband had a professional career that took her family around the world. She made a home and raised her 5 children in Michigan, Texas, California, and overseas, in England, in The Netherlands and in France.

Mary never fully realized how beautiful she was or the significance of raising her family internationally. Her children and friends liked to compare her beauty to that of Marylyn Monroe. She managed to maintain a home, keep the family fed, and deal with everyday problems that came from different customs, cultures, and even different languages. Thru it all, she maintained her rich sense of humor. Mrs. Rescoe was preceded in death by her father, Lewis Grimm, her mother, Vivian Rich Grimm, her brother, Danial Grimm, her sister Thelma Jean Shea, and one daughter, Susan Hulton. Mrs. Rescoe is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Howard L. Rescoe; four children, Steven Rescoe, Stewart Rescoe and his wife Cindy, Howard L. Rescoe Jr. and Heidi Osterhoff; 12 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.
