Mary Trantham
Landreth
March 23, 1935 – March 23, 2026
Mary Trantham Landreth, dearly loved wife, mother, grandmother, and faithful servant of the Lord, was born on March 23, 1935, in Fair Grove, Missouri. She entered into the presence of her Savior on March 23, 2026—her 91st birthday—receiving the joy of her eternal home in heaven.
Mary lived a life marked by devotion—to her family, her church, and above all, her Lord. A gifted pianist and organist, she faithfully used her musical talents to glorify God, leading others in worship and praise for many years. Her hands were rarely still; she was an accomplished seamstress and crocheter, lovingly creating garments and blankets that were shared through mission outreach around the world. In all she did, she reflected the love of Christ through humble service.
Mary also expressed her love through hospitality. She was an excellent cook and baker who found great joy in caring for others, always opening her home and heart with warmth and generosity.
Mary was married for 68 years to her beloved husband, William Landreth, with whom she shared a life grounded in love, faith, and unwavering commitment. Together they built a Christ-centered home and raised a family that was the joy of her heart.
She is survived by her children: Peggy Jones and her husband Dan of Columbus, Georgia; Larry Landreth and his wife Connie of Newnan, Georgia; Wally Landreth and his wife Julie of Choctaw Beach, Florida; and Kris Heath and her husband Shannon of Cary, North Carolina; along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, all of whom were deeply loved and treasured.
She was preceded in death by her son, David Landreth.
Mary will be remembered as a gentle, joyful, and faithful woman whose life reflected Christ’s love. Her legacy lives on through her family and through the many lives she touched with her music, her service, and her unwavering faith. Though she is deeply missed, her family rejoices in the promise of eternal life and the assurance that she is now at peace, celebrating in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
