Ms. Mary Earline Johns, age 80, passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2023. She was born on February 21, 1943 in DeFuniak Springs, Florida to Jenkins Jefferson Lowe and Pennie Forehand Lowe.

Ms. Johns was a resident of DeFuniak Springs, Florida. She was Baptist by faith and was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She owned and operated Palmer Apartments in DeFuniak Springs for 24 years. She was an avid reader and enjoyed watching Hallmark movies. She was also an avid Atlanta Braves and Florida State University fan.

Ms. Johns was preceded in death by her father and mother; her loving husband Alvin Johns of 42 years; three brothers John Lowe, Grady Lowe, Tommie Lowe; and three sisters Helen Woodall, Jean Collingsworth, Dorenda Curry.

Ms. Johns is survived by her four children Debra Kaye Ponieski and husband Greg of Ohio, Richard Anderson and wife Heather of DeFuniak Springs, Roger Anderson of Holt, Florida, Jeffrey Johns and wife Kira of North Carolina; ten grandchildren Lyndsy Bringman and husband Bill, Kansas Warren and husband Joseph, Noah Anderson and wife Keri, Natalie Turner-Anderson, Gracie Partridge, Katie & Ashley, Clayton Anderson, Landyn Johns, Reese Johns; ten great-grandchildren Ayden, Violet, Scarlett, Cody, Cole, Caydee, Maverick, Averie, Lillian, Abigail; and one sister Mildred Williamson.

A time of visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Monday, October 16, 2023 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Joel Glenn officiating.

Flowers are being accepted.

Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery.
