Mrs. Mary L. Busby Houston, age 81, entered into eternal rest May 9, 2011. She was born June 17, 1929 in Walton County, Florida to Coot and Sarah Byrd Linton. Mrs. Houston was a lifelong resident of Ponce De Leon and a member of the Old Mount Zion Baptist Church. Mrs. Houston is preceded in death by her husband, George L. Houston, one daughter, Debra A. Mitchum, two brothers, Lewis L. Linton and Bobby Bud Linton, two sisters, Odell Wilson and Alice Green. Mrs. Houston is survived by two sons, Larry S. Busby and wife Carol of Ponce De Leon, Florida; Michael E. Busby and wife Peggy of Panama City, Florida; seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters, Lou Abshier, Francis Walsh and Faye Driggers. The family would like to extend special recognition to lifelong friend of the family, John E. West. A time of visitation will be held 6:00~8:00 PM, Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home with Reverend Chris Carroll officiating. Burial will follow in the New Ponce De Leon Cemetery. Floral arrangements are being accepted.
