Mrs. Marlene Corsten, age 89, passed away peacefully November 8, 2024.  She was born on June 19, 1935 in Menominee, Michigan to Norman Winton and Margaret Johnson Winton.

Mrs. Corsten was a resident of Freeport, Florida. She was Catholic by faith and was a member of Christ the King and St. Rita Catholic Church. Marlene was a loving wife and mother. She always took care of others before herself. She loved fresh cut flowers and watching birds in her yard. In the earlier years, she enjoyed crocheting and cooking. She gave many hours of her time volunteering at the local hospital and the 4H Club. She and her husband enjoyed RVing and traveling.

Mrs. Corsten was preceded in death by her son, John E Corsten.

Mrs. Corsten is survived by her husband of 72 years, Donald R. Corsten; her three children, Tom (Cheryl) Corsten of Freeport, Florida, Debby Berryhill of Mystic, Connecticut and Candy Knowles of Michigan. Marlene loved spending time whenever she could with her grandchildren, she had 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff at Destination Health Center, for helping with her care, especially Rachel and Janet.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Freeport, Florida; 15542 U.S. 331, Freeport, FL 32439 with Father T.J Meehan officiating.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at Historic Gulf Cemetery; 1466 S County Highway 393, Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32459.
