Maggie Lou Orene (Bell) Martin of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, age 90, passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2024. She was the wife of Samuel D. Martin. They shared many years together, raising their family, and starting a business. Born on March 8, 1934 to Ruby Walter Bell and Minnie Idell (Rushing) Bell. She was the youngest of five children. Her siblings, Clifton, Clyde, Lottie, and Hollis. She was Baptist by faith and a cancer survivor. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, putting up vegetables, fishing, and bargain hunting. She will be remembered for her faith and determination. She is leaving her legacy with her daughters, Yolinda (Joseph) and Charlotte (George) and her granddaughters, Rachel, Kathleen (Jeremy), Kathryn (Houston) and Lauryn. Her parents, her husband, her siblings, and her son, John W. Martin, preceded Ms. Martin in death. In lieu of flowers, the family request that you make a donation to your favorite organization. A time of visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Alaqua Methodist Church Cemetery;  4198 Coy Burgess Loop, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435, with Reverend Scott Keppel officiating.
