Ms. Madelyn Jean Burreson, age 76, passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2023. She was born on January 8, 1947 in Montclair, New Jersey to Bernus F. Abbott and Jennette G. Ouellet.

Ms. Burreson was a resident of DeFuniak Springs, Florida. She graduated from Rincon High School, worked in customer service, and was an avid crocheter.

Ms. Burreson was preceded in death by her father and mother.

Ms. Burreson is survived by her daughter, Kiersten R. Fleming and husband Eric; two granddaughters Ashley M. Fleming of DeFuniak Springs and Amber Fleming of Nashua, New Hampshire; great-granddaughter Lunarayne Stanley of DeFuniak Springs; and one sister, Charlene Horton of Tucson, Arizona.
