Obituary

Lora Perry Bodiford, age 87, passed away September 14, 2024. Lora was born December 3, 1936, in Durham, NC, to Allie and Viola (Pettus) Perry.

Having retired from IBM in Raleigh, NC Lora moved to DeFuniak Springs, Florida in 1994, to provide care for her mother-in-law, Numa (Underwood) Bodiford, Lora was active in the DeFuniak Springs Woman's Club, Red Hats, TOPS, Order of the Eastern Star, Shimron Temple Daughters of the Nile in Pensacola, Florida, served as First Lady of Hadji Shriners in Pensacola, Florida, and, with her husband, owned and operated historic H & M Hot Dog in DeFuniak Springs

Lora is predeceased by her parents; brother, Jack Perry; and step-son Alan Bodiford.

She is survived by her husband, Dan Bodiford; her daughter Tina Andrews Raley, Apex, NC; son Ricky Andrews (Brandi), Middlesex, NC; step-daughter Susan Brock, Santa Rosa Beach, FL; sister-in-law Gladys Perry, Fuqua-Varina, NC; grandchildren; and great grandchildren.

Memorialization is by cremation; Entombment will be at Barrancas National Cemetery at a later date.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no service.
