Mrs. Lola Allyce Houchins, age 70, passed away October 02, 2022. She was born on September 4, 1952 in Shreveport, Louisiana to James Risinger and Virgie Menasco Risinger.
Mrs. Houchins was a resident of DeFuniak Spring, Florida. She was Christian by faith. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. She received her Bachelor's Degree from Northeastern State University in Oklahoma. She also received her Masters Degree from the University of Arkansas. She worked as an Electronic Technician before retiring. She also owned and operated Bass Haven Camp Ground in DeFuniak Springs, Florida. She was a very talened artist and was a past member of the DeFuniak Springs Art Guild.
Mrs. Houchins was preceded in death by her father and mother and two brothers Buddy and Mike Risinger.
Mrs. Houchins is survived by her husband of 37 years Dan G Houchins of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; her children Misty Prado, James Cook, Chris Cook wife Rowena, Rickey Cook and Russell Douglas Cook; Stepchildren Jimmy Houchins, Jason Houchins, Tiffany Houchins and Bubba Houchins and one brother James Risinger and wife Jan of DeFuniak Springs, Florida. She is Also survived by twenty-one grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Private family services will be held at a later date
