Lisa Sue McCormick, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2026, at the age of 68. Born on May 18, 1958, Lisa lived a life defined by kindness, quiet strength, laughter, and an adventurous spirit. She had a remarkable gift for making others feel welcome and loved, and her warmth left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Lisa shared a beautiful life with her devoted husband, Dewayne McCormick. Together they were true partners, building a loving marriage and a successful rental management business together. Whether they were tackling life's responsibilities or setting off on their next adventure, they were happiest side by side.

Nothing brought Lisa greater joy than her family. She was a devoted mother to her daughters, Karli Sue Weddington and her husband, Joshua, and Reanna Eden McCormick-Nall and her husband, Brandon. She loved them fiercely, encouraging them through every stage of life with wisdom, patience, and unconditional love.

Her greatest delight, however, was being "YaYa" to her four grandchildren, Nolan and Liam Weddington, and Braleigh and Cruize Nall. They were the light of her life. Their sweetest memories will forever include fishing and leisurely boating with YaYa and G-Daddy.

Lisa is also survived by her brothers, Michael, Mark, Randy, and Darren Thompson. She cherished each of her siblings, sharing a lifetime of love and memories with them. She shared a close friendship with her brother, Mark, and his wife, Linda. Together they shared countless adventures, especially bicycle rides and travels that reflected both their close family bond and genuine friendship.

If you knew Lisa, you also knew she couldn't stand a mess. At home, Lisa found joy in life's simple pleasures. Her garden was her sanctuary, where hummingbirds gathered around the feeders she faithfully kept filled. She found quiet satisfaction in working crossword puzzles and enjoyed the challenge of piecing together jigsaw puzzles. Whether cleaning windows until they sparkled or making sure everything was in its proper place, she took pride in caring for her home and everyone in it.

Her faith was the foundation of her life. As a devoted member of the College Avenue Church of Christ in DeFuniak Springs, Lisa faithfully worshiped and quietly served wherever she was needed, believing service was one of the truest expressions of her faith.

Lisa was preceded in death by her father, Randolph Albert Thompson, and her mother, Edith Hagan Thompson.

Lisa will be remembered for her generous heart, contagious sense of humor, adventurous spirit, and the countless everyday ways she showed her love. Her legacy lives on in the family she adored, the friendships she nurtured, and the countless memories she leaves behind.
