Mrs. Linda Faye Hughey, age 79, passed away September 14, 2024.  She was born on March 10, 1945 in DeFuniak Springs, Florida to Joseph Benjamin Lane and Addie Mae Adams.

Mrs. Hughey was a resident of DeFuniak Springs until 2009, she moved to Crossville of Tennessee to close to her son. She was Methodist by faith. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother. She worked at K-Mart for 11 years before going to Walmart to work for 20 plus years. She raised 3 wonderful children. She enjoyed cooking and baking.

Mrs. Hughey was preceded in death by her father, mother and her loving husband of 17 years, Charles L. Hughey, son, William "Bill" Hill, daughter, Sharon Carnley, brother, Robert "Tink" Smith, sister, Claydie Rushing and great granddaughter, Lindi Faith Hedgecoth.

Mrs. Hughey is survived by her son Samuel Phillip Hill and his wife Phebe of Crossville, Tennessee, sister, Betty Shifflett of Valrico, Florida 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She is also survived by extended family, Darlene Hoffer and her husband Jerry of Tennessee, Charles Hughey, Lamar Hughey, Rhonda Hathaway and her husband Dave. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 Am, Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at Mossy Head Cemetery; with Derek Glenn officiating.
