Mrs. Lemona Rebecca Sweeney Morris, age 73, passed away September 24, 2025.  She was born on July 24, 1952 in Lakeland, Florida to Henry W. Sweeney and Ethel P. Alford Sweeney.

Mrs. Morris was a resident of Freeport, Florida. She graduated from Freeport High School. She had many jobs; butcher, baker, owned a restaurant before returning to Freeport School system, where she worked until she retired. She loved fishing, playing bingo and hanging out with all of her family.

Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Ethel Sweeney; sisters, Caroline Poole and Linda Hicks and her grandson, Trace Morris.

Mrs. Morris is survived by her husband, Richard Morris of Freeport, Florida; children, Dewayne Morris and Daniel Morris and his wife Shirley all of Freeport, Florida; grandchildren, Tyler Morris of Nebraska, Zackery Morris of Freeport, Florida and Hunter Morris of Freeport, Florida; sister, Thelma Hicks and Etheline Goode and brothers, Carson Sweeney, Hendal Sweeney, Warren Sweeney and Wayne Sweeney

Receiving of friends will be held from 5:00 – 5:30 PM, Thursday, October 2, 2025 at Clary-Glenn Freeport Chapel Funeral Home; 150 East Highway 20 East, Freeport, Florida 32439

Celebration of Life service will be held at 5:30 PM, Thursday, October 2, 2025 at Clary-Glenn Freeport Chapel Funeral Home.
