Obituary

Mrs. Leah Ruth Goodson, age 46, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2024.  She was born on January 24, 1978, in Wichita Falls, Texas at Sheppard Air Force Base to James Lawrence Jackson and Diana Lundquist Jackson.

Mrs. Goodson spent a year volunteering at AmeriCorps. She attended college, Air Force and completed Finance military training manager. She also was active in Girl Scouts and AWANA. She was a district manager with an impressive work resume. While working, she moved up to manager and district manager. Mrs. Goodson was a resident of Freeport, Florida. She was a devoted wife and mother. She was on the board of several volunteer sports associations. She enjoyed cooking and baking, doing craft projects with the children. Leah was a mother to many children and young adults. She enjoyed just hanging around and watching a movie with friends and family. She enjoyed riding her motorcycle and riding horses. She enjoyed reading books, doing jigsaw puzzles and Alpine skiing. She enjoyed volunteering for many sports associations in Freeport (FAYSA and FFAC). She enjoyed being actively involved in her children's lives. Mrs. Goodson is proceeded in death by her father, James Lawrence Jackson. Mrs. Goodson is survived by her mother, Diana Lundquist Jackson; her husband, Thomas Dykes Goodson; sister, Laura Renee Jackson; sons, Keith Dalton Douglas, and Thomas Dylan Goodson; daughters, Kinsley Grace Goodson, and Sadie Rebekah Glawson. A time of visitation will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 30, 2024, at Heritage Church; 192 County Highway 83 A, West Freeport, Florida 32439.
