Mrs. Lantice Nowling Garrett, age 79, passed away February 5, 2024.  She was born on August 26, 1944 in Panama City, Florida to Jesse Jack Nowling and Allie Cumbie Nowling.

Mrs. Garrett was Church of Christ by faith and a member of Pensacola Boulevard Church of Christ. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister.  She was always willing to learn new skills and hobbies. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She enjoyed taking care of her dog "Polly". She also enjoyed traveling to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

Mrs. Garrett was preceded in death by father and mother; two sister Willie Mae McKee and Carolyn Crawford; one brother Eugene Nowling and one grandson Jacob Rivers.

Mrs. Garrett is survived by her husband of 60 years, Charles Autrey Garrett of Cantonment, Florida; three children Jessica Allie Lightner of Pensacola, Florida, Laura LaTrelle Garrett of White House, Tennessee and Rachel Garrett Rivers and her husband Bo of Columbia, Tennessee; six grandchildren Megan Fallin and her husband Lee, Sarah Lightner, Harrison Blankenship, Will Rivers, Ben Rivers and Sam Rivers; two great grandchildren Eli and Callum; one brother Jack Nowling and his wife Ann of DeFuniak Springs, Florida and one sister Patricia Kittrell of Lynchburg, Virginia.

A time of visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 PM, Friday, February 9, 2024 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, February 9, 2024 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel.

Flowers are being accepted.

Pallbearers will be Harrison Blankenship, Bo Rivers, Will Rivers, Ben Rivers, Sam Rivers and Lee Fallin.

Burial will be held at Magnolia Cemetery.
