Obituary

Kimberly Melissa Smith, 58 of Freeport, Florida and formerly of Dunedin, FL passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2026. Kimberly, or “Kim”, as many knew her was born on December 7, 1967, in Tampa, Florida to the late Mary Ann Rowland and late Bruce Boyle.

Kimberly lived a life filled with love, faith, and unforgettable memories. She was a devoted and supportive wife who always put her family first. She raised a beautiful, happy, and successful family. She was a caring and unwavering source of love and encouragement for her children, Victoria and Connor, as well as her husband Chad’s children, Amanda, Kelsey, and Clayton. She never missed a chance to tell all of them how proud she was of them. She was always there to give them love, laughter, advice, and words of encouragement. She never missed a phone call, no matter how far apart they were. Her children cherish the time they had with her; the memories they will carry with them; and they will miss her beyond words.

Kimberly was dedicated in her work serving in bank management, estate services, and small business banking for over 24 years with Bank of America. Kimberly was also a licensed Florida real estate agent. She found true peace and happiness on the water, where she loved boating with her husband, family, and friends from the Florida Keys to the Gulf of America as well as the bays, springs and rivers around the west coast of Florida. She also enjoyed taking part in Dunedin’s golf cart parades and holiday festivities every year. She and Chad especially enjoyed traveling while finding new adventures and experiences together.

Over the last three years, Kimberly fought a courageous battle against the evil of cancer. However, she did not lose that battle, rather she won the war over the devil and entered everlasting life with her God and savior, Jesus Christ. Those who had the joy of knowing her, witnessed her incredible optimism for beating cancer as she told everyone she met “By His stripes I am healed!” and today she is! It was a painful journey for her as well as for those who love her, but this was God’s purpose and plan. She served her Lord well and brought others closer to God, providing healing for their own souls. Hold the hands of those you love dearly, gently kiss their face, and whisper you love them and know that one day you will be reunited with them.

Kimberly is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Chad Smith; her children, Victoria Turner, Connor Turner, Amanda Brzezinski (Adam), Kelsey Smith, and Clayton Smith; sister Jacqueline “Jackie” Dainty and brothers James “Jimmy” Rowland (Sally), Jason Rowland (Rebecca); and grandson Brody Brzezinski; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorial donations be made in Kimberly’s name:
