Obituary

We are sad to announce the passing of Kenneth Roque-Bragg who was a new resident of Freeport, FL. You may have known him as Ken or Kenny who moved to Santa Rosa Beach, FL from Silicon Valley in 2019 with Rosa, his wife of 27 years.

Kenneth was 62 when he sailed into his last sunset on Wednesday, April 12th from complications of cancer at Ascension Sacred Heart Emerald Coast.

He was born in Newark, New Jersey in 1960 and moved to Connecticut with his mother Norma Thomas, who was attending Wesleyan University and preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife Rosa, who he met in 1993 while attending Quinnipiac University where he received a bachelor's degree with high honors in communications in 1996. With the highest regret Kenneth also leaves behind his two daughters from his first marriage; Naomi Shannon Bragg of New Orleans, Louisiana, and Simone Siobhan Bragg from Middletown, Connecticut as well as his father Kenneth Bragg of New Jersey and his extended family. Kenneth is also survived by his extended family on his wife's side who adored him dearly across Connecticut, Florida, and Puerto Rico.

Throughout his life, Kenneth found professional success in career sectors such as sales, marketing, investment, funding, and recruitment but his passion was music. He enjoyed many genres but loved The Blues the most and taught himself how to play the guitar.

His hobbies included health & fitness, reading, riding his motorcycle and on any given day, you could have found him enjoying the beaches of South Walton County, FL where he greatly enjoyed early retirement.

Kenneth made friends easily everywhere he went. His zest for life, love, and knowledge, easy demeanor, friendliness, and approachable attitude will be immensely missed by those he knew.

In honor of Kenneth's memory, we are coordinating a celebration of his life to be held at the Howard K. Hill Funeral Home in New Haven, Connecticut. A second ceremony to spread his ashes in the ocean followed by a beach bonfire will be held in South Walton County, FL at a later date.
