Ms. Kathelyn J. Gilley, age 77, passed away February 3, 2026. She was born on February 19, 1948 in Penn Yan, New York to Elmer Eugene Brown, Sr and Amy Louise Crofoot Brown.

Ms. Gilley was a resident of DeFuniak Springs, Florida. She loved spending time with family and friends; she loved traveling to see loved ones. She enjoyed doing puzzles, watching HGTV and tending to her plants.

Ms. Gilley was preceded in death by her loving husband, Skeeter (Gillis Gilley); parents, Elmer and Amy Brown and her sisters, Jackie Irwin, Gwen Hall and Carolyn Northrup.

Ms. Gilley is survived by her daughters, Alicia (Boss) Brackins and Melinda (Caleb) Hogg; 6 grandchildren, Lee (Lynsey) Brackins, Emilee (Durrell) Swihart, Erin (Noah) Parker, Makayla Hogg, Abigail Hogg and Jacob Hogg; 3 great grandchildren, Addison, Donnie and Eli; her sister Sherolyn O'Bryan; her brother Skip Brown and numerous nieces and nephews.

A time of visitation will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 PM, Monday, February 9, 2026 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, February 9, 2026 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home with Reverend Joel Glenn officiating.

Flowers are being accepted or donations may be made to the Emerald Coast Council on aging at 1154 Baldwin Ave, DeFuniak Springs, FL 32435

Pallbearers will be Noah Parker, Durrell Swihart, Lee Brackins, Skip Brown, Caleb Hogg and Boss Brackins.

Burial will be held at Magnolia Cemetery.
