June Beverly Ransford, 92, of DeFuniak Springs FL, previously of Red Hook NY, went to her Lord and Savior on 16 February 2024 surrounded by her loving family.

She was an avid volunteer giving hours to the local hospital in New York, including starting a junior volunteer program. She taught Sunday School and youth programs at the churches she attended.

In her later years she worked at local food banks, cared for the homeless and volunteered at the local Caring and Sharing Thrift Store. She enjoyed her time at the Life Enrichment Senior Center making new friends and winning at bingo!

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and a sister, her husband Ed Ransford of 44 years, her son Bobby, and her grandson Chris Ransford.

She is survived by her children, Ed and Lauire Ransford of DeFuniak Springs, Jim and Carol Ransford of Red Hook NY, Lori and Ron Peets of Sarasota FL, Joel Ransford and Marc of Miami FL, her brother George Leibach of Cohoes NY and nephew and niece John and June Leibach. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Burial will be held at the family plot in East Greenbush NY at a later date.
